Jumping hill in Moscow was burning!
Most likely a forest fire destroyed part of the
Sparrow Hills jumping hill. It was hard to douse
because of the way the facility was built.
No people were harmed because of the fire.

Adam Malysz becomes official consultant for the Polish ski association!
As Apoloniusz Tajner, president of the Polish ski association said
on a press-conference, Malysz will be the officially mentor for
the Polish Nordic combined athletes and ski-jumpers in the next season.

Andi Kofler honored as Tyrols sportsman of the year
Andreas Kofler was decorated as Tyrols athlete of
the year 2011 with the “Viktor” in Innsbruck yesterday.
The successful ski-jumper Kofler and his team mate
Gregor Schlierenzauer also got the first place
in the team tribute.
The distinction was given by “Tiroler Tageszeitung”.
